1it enterpriseThe Operating System of the smartphone doesn’t support the WhatsApp anymore. This could be the reason that WhatsApp on some user’s smartphone is not working starting 2017. Most widely used mobile platforms are getting more attention of the company and are the reason for this decision. WhatsApp officials mentioned the reason behind the decision to be the limited capabilities of the older operating systems, which might encumber the release of new features. iOS6/3GS, Android 2.1, Android 2.2, Windows Phone 7, Nokia Symbian S40, Nokia Symbian S60, Blackberry 10 and Blackberry OS made it to the list of operating systems that the company has decided to stop the support for by the end of 2016. WhatsApp has decided to extend support for some of the operating systems from Nokia and Blackberry until mid-2017 envision the inconvenience that will be caused to the users.

 

The function could stop anytime for the users as the announcement was for the end of 2016. The software has a whopping 1 billion monthly active users while considered the 700 million monthly active users in January 2015. The ability to handle multimedia, the cheaper service provided by the company and ability to make video calls has made it the choice of messaging app instead of the conventional messaging app.
