US Department Of Education’s New Rules Locks Down Another College

1IT EnterpriseAccording to a report, the ITT Technical Institute are shutting down their campuses nationwide starting today which will affect at least 8,000 employees and 35,000 students. So if you are looking forward to joining the institute then it is not going to happen. Institutes crumbling under increased scrutiny by the US Board of Education ITT Tech is the latest. In early 2015 to make sure students are getting education worth for the money they pay for it and the degree is worth it the US Board of Education created a new division. On the ground that they were recruited under false pretenses thousands of for-profit students applied to get their federal student’s loan forgiven last year.

 

$28 million worth of federal loans given to students were forgiven by the Department of Education in December 2015. Action against DeVry University for deceptive marketing claims will be taken announced the Department of Education and Federal Trade Commission in January 2016. The primary source of funding for the for-profit colleges is the federal funding. These funding have faced a barrage of criticism.

 

Though the marketing claims these colleges make sounds irresponsible but while considering the employment prospects it guarantees a job and a substantial salary.
