Teradata and Nuix allied to enlighten Dark DataA world of new perceptions is promised by Big Data. But it’s all in futile if the data is not analyzed. Two companies Teradata and Nuix confederated to enlighten the so-called ‘Dark Data’. Often employees don’t know that the data is there hence the data is disregarded and became unused, this data is called Dark Data.

Teradata’s Aster Analytics software & Nuix’s namesake data processing and indexing engine has to be combined by the two companies which will allow businesses discover from hundreds of file types from millions of documents and scrutinize their dark data. Structured, unstructured and semi-structured data will be converted into metadata and searchable text.

Organizations can feed the relevant data into Teradata’s Aster Analytics and apply sophisticated text analytics, machine learning, and other analytics technique to disclose new acuities once the data is identified. Aster can search words and phrases and later apply business analytical rules to find acquiescence breaches and scams.

The two companies believe there is a much comprehensive range of applications counting cyber security, information governance, lawsuit, and intelligence but initially, they will focus on creating communication assent products for the finance sector. The Aster platform does not have to be known as the one with homegrown coding as it has an ecosystem of third party products.
