Evernote is a direct competitor to the Microsoft’s OneNote, hence clearly it doesn’t like it. Neither do a lot, other users. Microsoft wants Evernote users to switch to OneNote no matter what is your reason for not using Evernote. May it be unreliable and bloated UI or the rise in price from $ 50 to $ 69.99. Microsoft launched the importer tool for the OneNote which is targeted at the Evernote users who are looking for an alternative. The company has targeted the Evernote users again with releasing the same feature for the Mac users.
With 60 minutes of free calling in Skype, 1 TB of storage and apps including in Office 365 such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access, and Publisher for the same $69.99 price tag the Evernote users pay only for the note taking app. Except for manually downloading the notes without the option of automation the OneNote has features that are second to none. Some users accepted that they wouldn’t have used the Evernote if they would have known the OneNote a bit more in details specially the web clipping feature. After the launch of the Windows Importer tool, the company has reportedly moved 71 million Evernote pages to the OneNote.
