Google the IT giant has introduced a new tool that will allow users to personalize the ads that they see on Google native site and the third party sites as well. This might also help the advertisers, who are always looking to target a specific audience for the specific product. The tool will allow users to tailor the topics as per their desire. The topics list for the user will be a consequence of the browsing history.
There will be a choice for the user to turn off the personalization of ads, but then the users will have to manage with the ads in general. The ads will be based on general location and not data collected by Google.
The tool will not only control the ads from Google but also from 2 million plus websites which partner with Google for ads. But here users will be presented with ads based on their previous visit to the site. Users can check the box bellow the Ads Personalization tab to personalize ads of website and apps associated with Google.
The ads personalization feature will roll out for users in upcoming weeks and this will also include ‘My Activity’ a feature that will allow users to view their Google activity from one location.
