Flying Cars: Real or Sci-Fi

Flying Cars Real or Sci-Fi‘Cars Flying’ I know it sounds like a sci-fi movie plot. But there is a possibility that Zee. Aero, a private company is working on an all-electric vehicle with vertical take-off & landing capabilities. Zee. Aero is owned by Larry Page, Co-Founder at Google and CEO of Alphabet mentioned a report. The report also said that Page is investing $100 million in this project.

It is clearly mentioned that the company is engaged in R&D for better ways to travel from point A to point B, despite fewer details in the Zee.Aero website. The list of job openings for engineers in aerodynamics, flight control, aircraft design, machine learning, system integration and IT confirms the same.

Eric Willson as president & Ilan Kroo as a founder is mentioned in the credit documents. But the owner name is not mentioned. Kroo a Stanford professor of aeronautics and astronautics and former researcher at NASA, is also listed as an inventor in a patent for a personal aircraft with vertical life capabilities.

Larry Page is always on a mission to accomplish a change. But it’s good to see that he is using his own money for this camp and not hoard money and make himself rich. Zee. Aero and Kitty Hawk are not the only companies working on this type of project. Terrafugia Inc. an MIT-based aerospace company founded by pilots and engineers is also building a car that can be driven on roads with foldable wings capable of flying.

Even though we have seen flying cars like the Delorean in Back to the future and the Porsche 904 in S.H.I.E.L.D, but how far are we looking into the future for this to be a reality.
