Waves of union forces have been made by Evolve Discovery and UBIC North America over the summer. They are merging to travel onward as one company known as FRONTEO, which is now aiming to be another big player in the progressively fused e-discovery market. Essential Discovery Inc. (EDI), a boutique discovery firm has been acquired by FRONTEO on November 7. EDI is considered AmLaw 100 law firms and among its users, Fortune 250 companies due to its specialty in document review in the large client. Clients for FRONTEO and quest for expanded operations seems like the reason for the deal. An additional 150 seats for document review in the United States will be possible for FRONTEO with the acquisition of EDI said the company in a press release. This will move the number of seats of FRONTEO to 1,300 primarily in Las Vegas and San Francisco.
All existing EDI staff, comprising quality controllers, review staff, contract attorneys and project managers are going to be unified into FRONTEO’s processes. As the two parties instantly recognized strong alliance in client synergies and culture, the contract came together in roughly four months said Andy Jimenez, CEO of FRONTEO USA. The procurement of EDI line up deliberately with the FRONTEO evolution strategy in global managed review, document review, and staffing services.
