Box Updated Its Platform With New UI Tool

1IT ENterpriseBest known for its content service and user facing storage the Box is also operating a separate platform for developers. This platform received a few updated on this Thursday. Watermarking, annotations, and new content type are now supported in the Box’s platform which also lets developers integrate Box’s tool which helps in managing content that the developer is building. With the current offering the company has also built tools to help with revamped developer console and web user interface. At times when Box was fighting to be one of the services that developers take to power their applications constantly upgrading the platform might make some impression on the developers. Without having to build Box’s content service capabilities and file storage separately into an application is the specialty of the Box.

 

According to Box Chief Strategy Officer Jeetu Patel, the company has seen a growth in developers from 75,000 to 80,000 since May. 3-D models, both 360-degree image and video, and HD video support will be available for the developers who use Box’s JavaScript SDK to build web apps. In the coming months, the capabilities built into the preview functionality for Box’s user-facing product will also be available for the mobile apps.
