For Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge users, the wait for the Android 7.0 Nougat update is over. For the beta program users, Samsung is pushing out the final built of the Nougat. Even though the final release date is going to vary by the carrier, the release will be rolled out soon. The beta users can anticipate the update including the January patch in the upcoming week. However, it has to be kept in mind that the update is Android 7.0 and not the current release i.e. Android 7.1.1. For the beta non-users, the wait may extend a little more depending on the decision of the carrier. According to the numbers produced by Google, the adoption is still under one percent.
However, once Samsung starts to roll out the final build of Nougat to more phones the number game might change. For those who do not want to wait for the update, Google Pixel is their best bet. An update being released now will be anenhancement to those on T-Mobile. With this update, the users will get December Google security patch and improvements to the night mode and camera focus speed. Software build B21 now supports T-Mobile’s HD Voice calling feature.
