Maven Systems is an end-to-end product Development Company in M2M / IoT domains. Maven’score expertise lies in wireless communications for a wide spectrum of applications. With clients in 20 different countries that includes Cummins, Larsen & Toubro, Philips, and Landis + Gyr, Maven has a have a global reach.
Mr. Sunil Desai CEO of Maven Systems believes that M2M / IoT sphere is poised to become one of the biggest markets in the coming decades. Asian markets vary greatly from North American and European market and it is for this reason that products need to be developed with a strong understanding of the local challenges, “hence our products offer customization and integration capabilities which helps to create final solutions with a mix of various technologies, carefully chosen to deliver value” said Sunil Desai.
Maven has expertise in delivering end-to-end solutions. Their solutions are designed and developed right from the hardware to the cloud / mobile applications that are used as end user touch points. Their product verticals include remote monitoring of heavy machines and DG sets (used for construction and mining), commercial vehicles, smart metering, and smart street lighting.
Maven has two product platforms for their indigenous solutions. Which include:
GeoHEMS – This platform is used for remote monitoring of heavy machines like dumpers, excavators, loaders, RMC trucks, and power generators. The solution includes a GPRS enabled hardware device that connects with the Engine Control Unit (ECU) of the machine, and uploads data regarding operational hours, engine temperature, and oil level to the platform. It also has a fuel sensor and a special fuel detection algorithm that detects fuel levels with 98% accuracy. This solution is also used for monitoring commercial vehicles, HVAC equipment and different type of assets.“We currently monitor around 1,500 heavy equipment” mentioned Sunil Desai.
Monitor My Meter – This platform is used for the smart metering and smart-street lighting solutions. Maven’s WiART modules are used to wirelessly enable two-way communication between utility meters or lighting fixtures and the cloud platform. Gateway devices are used to provide Internet connectivity using a suitable technology like GPRS, Ethernet, WiMAX or Wi-Fi. “We are monitoring and controlling around 25,000 smart meters, and 10,000 street lights” said Sunil Desai.
Maven also has solutions for enabling Smart cities.
Maven provides smart city solutions for a wide variety of domains including medical wearables, sub-metering, smart lighting, asset monitoring and vehicle tracking. These solutions are integrated with third party sensors (motion, ultrasonic, pulse oximeters), devices (utility meters, lighting fixtures, power generators, garbage vans, etc.) and cloud applications (SAP / ERP systems, billing systems). Their solutions can be customized to fit client requirements. Their expertise in hardware, firmware and software allows us to develop solutions that complement the technology that their client already has, thus keeping a check on the cost of the final solution.
Maven Systems primary focus is the Indian market along with they are also targeting other high potential markets like Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe and APAC where they are not only aligned with the smart city and the smart grid initiatives, but also have an in-depth understanding of the market conditions.
Founder and CEO of Maven Systems Sunil Desai has a total experience of around 30 years in Electronics. He has been the director of Aftek Limited, and was part of the team that developed the first dual mode mobile phone in the world.
